We're proud to join forces with the Borneo Nature Foundation in a meaningful initiative. With the booking of this retreat, the Borneo Nature Foundation will plant 10 trees, contributing to the restoration of Indonesia's precious rainforests. Jungle Bliss Eco Initiatives
100% Plastic Free Zone
In Bali, there are over 300,000 tons of plastic waste generated per year, and 33,000 tons of it end up in the rivers and ocean. It is a huge problem, and Jungle Bliss has decided to do something about it. There is absolutely no plastic used on site, Jungle Bliss only works with suppliers that have plastic free packaging. In addition, they implement initiatives to clean up Bali’s beaches and rivers on a regular basis.
Natural Ecosystem
Their organic gardens are abundant in fruit trees, medicinal herbs, and vegetables that not only nourish their guests but also help eliminate mosquitos.
Green Architecture & Construction
Sustainability is the top priority when making decisions about Jungle Bliss’s architectural design and construction. The low-impact, renewable resource bamboo was used to build their beautiful yoga shala, rooms and restaurant. Their eco project was built with the help of the world renowned bamboo architects of the Pablo Luna Studio. In addition, their villas are made using a rammed earth technique that eliminates the need for concrete, lightening the environmental impact and offering great insulation.
Water Energy Conservation and Clean Water
At Jungle Bliss, they are always mindful of their water usage and gently remind their guests to do the same. All toilets are eco-friendly, and the showers are designed to minimize water consumption. their water heating system is also energy efficient.
Their well water is already very fresh, and they use an additional bio filtration process to ensure this. Naturally cleaned water runs from every single tap at Jungle Bliss.
Zero Impact
Using a compost circle, all organic waste is recycled and used to nourish and increase the nutrients in the soil of their gardens. All of Jungle Bliss’s luxury bath and body products and cleaning supplies are locally sourced, biodegradable and have no impact on nature. The wastewater is also naturally cleaned and returned to the earth where it is needed the most.
Replenish The Water Tables
The water reserves in Bali are dangerously depleted, due to hotels and villas building countless pools with no environmental initiatives. Jungle Bliss takes action by collecting the rainwater and using it to replenish the diminishing water tables on the island.
